Music

Music:

Our music curriculum continues to focus on high-quality music education which engages and inspires children to develop a life-long love of music. The music programme increases self-confidence, creativity, and imagination, and provides opportunities for self-expression and a sense of personal achievement.

Pupils receive one 50-minute lesson a week. The KS3 curriculum has a strong focus on practical performance and composition, exploring with the voice and different instruments.  Within the curriculum, music theory and key terminology is developed and secured. Pupils can enrich their learning by attending afterschool music clubs or taking instrumental lessons.

WPSfG Instrumental Lesson Programme is an affordable scheme which offers pupils the opportunity to learn an instrument of their choice with an experienced member of our peripatetic team. More information can be acquired by contacting: jstamp@woolwichpolygirls.co.uk
